CII-FBN India offers a safe space for business families to learn, share and inspire each other to facilitate relationships within the family, and motivate one another in navigating the relationship of the family to their business. The aim is to foster strong relationships within the family while also promoting the recognition and significance of family business models in society.

These guidelines represent a model Code of Conduct for its members.It is necessary for all members to adopt these Code of Conduct as good practice and as the criteria for responsible membership.

Trust & Confidentiality

CII-FBN India provides a platform for sharing of personal experiences and peer to peer learning through free and open discussions. Chatham House Rules apply for members as well as external facilitators, consultants and partner organizations that are present.

(The Chatham House rule states that participants of a meeting may use information discussed in the meeting, but without explicitly or implicitly disclosing the identity of the source.)

Members will neither quote statements or comments, nor post images, photos, videos
of other members on social or general media without the prior consent of the concerned members and CII-FBN.

Safe space

CII-FBN India is by and for family business owners and their family members. Nonfamily executives may participate and attend events only with a member of the family, or as a representative of the family.

Respect

CII-FBN India encourages collective discussion and respect for one another. Members will at all times recognize the “Safe Space” of the community and respect the wishes of their fellow members in their behavior, interactions and communication.

Non solicitation

CII-FBN India prohibits any form of solicitation among its members. CII-FBN is not a place to sell products or services to other members. It is a forum to learn and exchange ideas and information. However, learning, exchange of ideas and information can also include business related issues.

Members as well as external facilitators, consultants, partner organizations must also adhere to these guidelines.

Active participation

CII-FBN India encourages its members to be actively involved and participate in its activities through the various communities, learning journeys, discussion forums, national and global summits, in line with the principle: “A family that learns and plays together, stays together”.
